What are the steps involved in hiring Run On Productions to work on my project?
Here are the typical steps involved in initiating a project with us:
- By email, telephone or in person, we agree upon the details of the work required: overall look and basic layout, number of pages, what those pages contain, etc. In some cases the quote may need adjusting after this step. If a domain name needs to be registered and/or hosting account set up, this is initiated now.
- Any required graphics and images that you already have are sent to Run on Productions. Text content may be sent at this time or later.
- Run On Productions creates a page mockup (one or more variations) and emails a JPEG image of the page(s) for you to preview. You choose a version you like or ask for a new design, or suggest changes.
- The Run On team will make the changes and sends a new proof. After one or more iterations of this process a final design is agreed upon.
- You make a deposit to Run On Productions of 50% of project quote.
- If not already sent or available on your existing site, all content (text) is sent to Run On Productions by email. All text should be in an editable format for copying & pasting (i.e. no scanned images of text). Extra charges will be incurred if blocks of text must be typed.
- Run On Productions proceeds to create the website or graphic artwork to look the same as the mockup. After a few representative pages or the core site pages are complete, they are posted on Run Ons personal webspace for you to preview (not visible to the public). Any further refinements you desire are suggested at this point.
- Run On Productions completes the entire site coding and posts the whole site on the personal web space for final proofing before going public.
- When all is to your satisfaction, the site is published to the public location.
- The final invoice is sent to you, which is due within 20 business days.
At all times throughout the process, communication is open between you and our team. This is entirely a collaborative process.

What is the typical pricing breakdown for a website?
Pricing for a website depends on how much you want your site to do.
All of our projects are unique. Listed below are a few different starting packages to give you an idea.

The fine print (in a readable size)
- All prices are in Canadian dollars unless otherwise specified.
- All prices given here are flexible; your site may require less time than normal or more and charges will be adjusted accordingly. If, partway through the project, the estimate looks like it will significantly exceed the original quote, you will be notified before continuing.
- Site re-designs may cost less than the package prices listed here, depending on the level of re-designing required.
- A deposit of 50% of the project quote or $300, whichever is less, will be required upon completion of artwork / page layout to your satisfaction, before further work (web page coding) will be carried out.
- “Page” refers to web page up to three 800 x 600 px screen heights. Longer pages count as multiple pages.
- If you don’t already have a registered domain name we can register your .ca, .com, .org or .net domain for as little as $16.95/yr. Other extensions are available—ask us about pricing.
- If you already have a registered domain name, we can transfer your domain to another hosting service for a one-time fee of $35, if desired.
- All graphic designs and photographs created by Run On Productions remain the property of Run On Productions unless specifically purchased by the client (not included in the cost of a website).
How much do you charge for Graphic Design work?
